Short version: your designs never leave your computer, the application sends one thing and you can turn it off, and the only personal data held is the email address you typed to get the download.

Who is responsible

Experiware Kft. (Hungary, EU VAT HU24198206) is the data controller. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.

Your designs

They stay on your machine. Experiware has no accounts, no cloud storage and no sync. It never uploads a design file, an exported mask, or anything you draw. We do not see your work, and there is nothing on our side to breach.

What the application sends

Once per launch, Experiware asks experiware.com whether a newer version exists. That request carries:

• the version you are running and your operating system and CPU architecture (for example Experiware/0.1.0 (windows x86_64));
• your IP address, which any request over the internet necessarily reveals.

Nothing else — no identifier, no usage data, no telemetry of any kind. There is no analytics script in the application. We use it to see roughly how many people are on an old build so we know when it is safe to change something.

You can switch it off in Settings → Updates inside the application. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in getting security and correctness fixes to people who are running the software; the off switch is how you object to it.

The download form

When you ask for the download link, we store:

• your email address;
• when you first and last requested it;
• whether you ticked the box asking to be told about new versions;
• which version you downloaded.

We do not store your IP address, your browser, or where you came from. The address is used to tell you when a new version is released — and only if you ticked the box — and to understand roughly who is using the beta (a university address and a company address tell us different things about what to build next). It is never sold, rented, or shared.

The lawful basis for sending you release announcements is your consent, given by ticking that box. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or writing to the address above, and the download works whether or not you tick it.

Bot protection

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person and not a script is submitting it. Turnstile is designed not to profile users and sets no tracking cookie. Cloudflare processes the request as our processor; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The website

This site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server-side request logs (including IP addresses) for security and abuse prevention. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no cookies — which is why you were not asked to accept any. Fonts are your system's own; nothing is fetched from a font CDN.

Where the data is

Addresses are stored in Cloudflare's key-value storage, and email reaches us through Cloudflare Email Routing and Gmail (Google). Both providers may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long it is kept

Addresses are kept while the beta programme runs and are deleted when it ends, or sooner if you ask. Crash reports are written only to your own machine, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Experiware\crashes — they are never sent anywhere. If you choose to email one to us we keep it only as long as it takes to fix the bug.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to it being used, or ask for it in a portable form. One email to [email protected] is enough — there is no form to fill in, and the answer will come from a person. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Hungarian data-protection authority (NAIH) or the one where you live.

Changes

If this page changes materially, the date above changes with it, and anyone on the release list will be told.
